Tom and I headed into the San Gabriels today for a quick hike up Mnt. Pacifico. Weather was beautiful, a little frosty be so clean and clear. We hike up via the PCT from Mill Creek and hiked down the road. Had fun at the top climbing the 4th class summit block. There is a video of the summit block ascent as well at the GPS tracks below:

The hike was just over 4 hours, 12 miles, 2500 ft gain. I was surprised how beautiful it was up top. I love the boulders, a lot like Mount Hillyer area. I am thinking I would like to camp up at the campground sometime. The road is closed from Nov. 15th to May 15th, so it will have to wait until next spring.
