Just went to go check out snow conditions and possibly do some mixed climbing near Sheep Canyon. Woulda been a horrible idea. Walked into the structure that used to be a house at the very base of Sheep Canyon, with deep, cold, dry powder snow up to my crotch.

Use snowshoes if you go offtrail. I'm going to wait till things consolidate a bit before any Ice Pirate junk happens. Screw technical wading.

Madhouse parking lot. Ludicrous. Packed.

Weekends suck.

So... a few weeks and the mountains will be perfect, I assume.

I had the same experience today above the skihut. made it o 9000' and turned around due to constant postholing (with snow shoes)

The snow play crowd was insane. People everywhere, line of cars backed up from below the village all the way up.

I didn't picture you as Mexican either. For some reason, by reading your posts, I pictured you as a short, stout, locomotive walking machine. Maybe Irish. Image
