Man! A series of storms expected to be blowing in while we we had only the afternoon today to hike. We beat the coming snows by hustling up Mts. Harwood and Baldy via Register Ridge, descending on the Ski Hut Trail. We were in the blowing clouds most of the time. Temperatures ranged from 38 at the bottom to 22 on top to 31 back on the bottom. Winds were strong much of the time, especially on the summit ridge, where it was hard to stand up. All in all, a very nice afternoon on Baldy.

And a lovely (nearly) full moon, but it's a wee bit brisk out.
A really good looking hike though. Nice rime ice. My wife thinks you're crazy for going out in the cold. Of course she thinks anything under 75 is getting pretty chilly.
I probably shouldn't look at any pix right now since I sprained my knee and have trouble going up my front stairs. Argh!
Pics.Damn, I've been so worried about the weather I've gotten NO HIKING in this weekend.
Too busy sitting here in the office designing a new semi-automatic shotgun.
