Looks like a good many of us were on Baldy on Sunday!
I met GigaMike (Mike Mellin) at the Manker Flats trail head for a climb of Mt. Baldy via the Register Ridge route at 8:00am on Sunday 11/30/08. We were underway by 8:15am. We were treated to fine but moderately windy weather, but most of the snow that fell a few days ago was melted from the slopes . This is the first time that I have climbed Baldy by this route, and it now rivals the northern "Devils Backbone" route via Pine Mountain and Dawson Peak as my favorite on the mountain. We were disappointed that we did not have the chance to use the crampons and ice axes we lugged on the route due to the lack of snow (wow it melted off fast), but the season is early....We descended from the summit via the Ski Hut Trail. All in all a great day on Baldy with a great climbing partner.

Hmm, I was eyeballing Register Ridge during most of my hike on Sunday. I've got to do that one soon.
