I did attend. Here is my update to the 'welcome to the FS, here is how we do things' meeting.
It should be noted that this was the 'new' FS. The Forest Service has used their own outside project leader, but these were in charge?...i.e. the FS has consolidated so there is no more 'we do things here ...

Yeah, this is a process meeting...so I would say you are going to have a lot of people start in and at the end the FS will say 'oh, this is not an action plan'..and everyone say it was a waste of time..well, yes.

i also wonder how indians got from barley flats to chilao area. im assuming folks walked east to around shortcut saddle.

Shortcut Saddle to Chalton Flats to Silver Moccasin trail.

Well, I asked AI if it was safe to go to Rubio..joining the modern trend.
It said Rubio was closed due to its programming that land managers have authority.
As time went on I think it was agreeing with me, or it could be condescending...but it had to go with land mangers know best.

organizers would not share previous search routes and became very guarded with information. This was a huge disservice to Monica as volunteers were searching the same areas over and over again rather than being able to help strategize where best to search. The organizers seemed more interested ...
