Re: Crystal Lake Area Lost Ridge Trail To Windy Gap Trail 2020-05-09
What condition was the Lost Ridge Trail in? The lower portion of the Lost Ridge Trial was brushed by the San Gabriel Mountain Trailbuilders last year. But the brush can grow back quickly. The upper portion has a few down trees you have to get by but nothing to serious. Note there was a lot of bugs ...

Re: Station Ridge to Brown Mt dam
Nice picture. I didn't know there was a trail from USFS Station to Arroyo Seco. What about the CCC trail from Hwy2 to Oakwilde?

Silver Fish Rd from Hwy39
Does anybody know who maintains the Silver Fish Road/Trail? Angeles National Forest website describes the trail as a mountain bike trail. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/angeles ... 6&actid=24 The trail starts at Hwy39 just after the Morris Dam. The trail-old road has really been let go and I wo...

Re: Gabrielino Trail (Big Santa Anita - West Fork - Arroyo Seco)
So the Gabrielino Trial is really completely open this year 2018.
Here is the story from Mt. Wilson Bicycling Association:

But it seems as with all trails that they need continuous maintenance.

Re: Gabrielino Trail (Big Santa Anita - West Fork - Arroyo Seco)
I see from your "reopen" link that the USFS status is open for horseback but it doesn't mention hiking. Besides I didn't see any trail beyond the sign which was marked along the way with pink plastic ribbon. The questions, is there still a trial somewhere or just bush whacking? I remember ...

Re: Gabrielino Trail (Big Santa Anita - West Fork - Arroyo Seco)
Someone should try to get the Forest Service to completely open Gabrielino Trial from north of old Oakwilde Camp area to Switzer junction. This trail is supported by the US National Trail system and should have all means to get that done. This section of trail has been closed since the Station Fire ...

Re: Gabrielino Trail (Big Santa Anita - West Fork - Arroyo Seco)
Someone should try to get the Forest Service to fix the fire damaged Gabrielino Trial closure from Little Paul picnic area to Switzer junction. This trail is supported by the US National Trail system and should have all means to get that done. This section of trail is heavily used from JPL up to the...
