Re: Mt. Williamson West face Class 3 Chimney 7-8-2013
Thanks tekewin. Like many I spent a night at Anvil Camp, and again higher up in the Williamson Bowl. Both the trail and cross-country sections have allot of going up and down through different valleys and moraines which adds up. Plus, being so extended from the trailhead in miles tends to make you w...

Awesome Taco. I saw a previous lead-solo post of yours. But only now in this post did I see the actual second half of the rope hanging down in DSC01174 pic. So you are using a modified gri-gri somehow, strapped to a chest harness for belay? By the way, did you take a leader fall in DSC01176? Great r...

Nice pics mangus. Congrats on your 1st Sierra trip!
On one hand it looks like a low snow year (South-East glacier of Mt. Ritter is almost down to nothing), yet there also seems to be a new dusting of snow on the peaks. Looks like good timing!! Beautiful area.
Cheers!

Ouray Ice Festival 2013
I was just wondering if anyone else from this forum is going to be in Ouray CO this year for the ice festival (Jan 11-13). If so, it would be neat to meet-up some evening at a local pub there for some beers and bs.
Let me know.
Cheers

Re: Grand Teton summit 9-7-2012
Thanks lilbitmo August would be much more enjoyable. It was perfect weather in Jackson Hole for the 5 days leading up to the actual climb. Also, we took the two day training class prior to the climb (everyone has their own lingo and different "best" methods). At the end of the second day o...

Grand Teton summit 9-7-2012
I summited the Grand Teton in Wyoming 9-7-2012 with Exum Mountain Guides out of Jackson WY. Climbed with an old buddy Dave, and his old-time buddy Gary. The summit-guide was Scott. This was up the Owens Spalding route. Best Regards and cheers, Steve https://www.adoberevel.com/shares/c90ae ... fe8752...
