Chilao CG ?
I am planning a weekend getaway sometime in May. Friday - Sunday to Chilao with my 6 year old daughter. Anyone know how easy should be to get a campsite late afternoon? Early evening? Never done it before up there. Any good activities/easy hikes out with a little one straight from the campground? Thx

Buckhorn Campground
Anyone have an idea if think will be full this coming Saturday night 6/4?
Considering rolling in late evening to get shuteye in my car before hiking early next day out of Islip or Dawson saddle.
And if it is full, what are alternatives that avoid driving all over S2?

Re: Pacific Crest Trail (Cajon - Little Jimmy - Soledad)
Good review. I tried it today with my wife - Sunday. This after turning back on Thanksgiving due to ice, etc within the initial stretch of the hike and deciding to just go elsewhere for the day. We figured with good sun and no rain lots would have melted by then... famous last words... This was only...
