i hiked the trail at heaton flats up up and up before i even knew
anything about IRON MT. i've only been as far as the flat spot
before ascending the ridge.

this trip report has inspired me to go back...thanks...it looks like fun
im going to camp on the summit of every peak i can.

reading this thread makes me realize i need to get out more. there are so many trails to do.. each trail has something unique to offer.its hard to pick a favorite. im going to have to vote for EAST FORK SAN GABRIEL RIVER it has a lil bit of everything thats needed for a good adventure there are some...

i started really "hiking" 2004 when my lil girl was born. we have so much fun on trails im pretty much going to hike till i cant walk anymore i love it when my alarm goes off at 4am on saturday morning everything is dark and quiet and as im putting on my hiking shoes my lil 4 year old daug...

i grew up around people who do things like break in cars and spray paint everything in sight. i am not afraid to confront and stop people who disrespect nature most people are either tweakers looking to come up on anything or angry kids who just want to destroy shit... i was camping at chilao one ni...

its a bit much for overnighters but its convonient...everything fits

just the paper...other remains were left buriied 6-8 inches down
when we would meet up with our resupply they would pack out our trash

i was lucky enough to be considered for a "wilderness therapy" program i got myself into quite a bit of trouble as a teen.i guess i made an impression on my probation officer and instead of going to camp or juvy i got sent to this program for at-risk youth. it was a total surprise for me.i...

my daughter and i woke up at 6am sat.morning and headed out to check out this waterfall in fish canyon. we make it to duarte and without a problem find vulcan and we park and sigh in.
