hikers going up or coming down ?

i use a filter on water thats stagnant or where theres lots of people like the east/west forks of san.g river..........when im up in the high country i drink it without filter......to be honest....i have never once gotten sick or even a stomach ache.......when im hot and thirsty and i happen upon so...

last summer for the perseod showers i was on the JMT
i was at cathedral lake and i seen a huge fireball thing that broke

it boils down to indoor person vs outdoors person... when i met my girl some 7 years ago i didnt really like hiking... my addiction has just developed and i have never been happier i cant sit still and most of my thoughts revolve around planning trips even when im broke i find ways to support my hab...

everyone litters in some way or another.. my fellow mexicans are the majority down by the river and yes they do leave lots of trash...but most people do clean up after themselves..even mexicans like a clean river its just that you add in the little kids who dont know better and the wind blowing shit...

the east fork is beautiful.my recommendation would be to JUST GO its more fun when you dont really know what to expect.... pretend in your head that your in a life and death rambo type situation and your being chased by the enemy..you have only one option make it to the east fork parking lot for eva...

make sure the seat is in one piece
bring rope so you can climb down when ski lift breaks
my favorite tip------ walk up better.ski lift is horrible

if you had to spend a night outside in our local mountains...
with a 4 year old and 11 year old who can hike/backpack

id like to try a new place besides mt.baldy
any suggestions

it was a geology class from USC.
they had just gotten back from camping out at joshua tree that morning

my daughter and i were walking along..we were the only ones around.
it was quiet and peaceful...a gentleman walks by me and non-chalantly
tells me "theres about 250 kids behind me" he laughed a lil and kept walking...i thought he was kidding
