Re: The last D.U.I. of the year

I am sure that 75lbs to the marine felt like 17lbs and to the rest of us 175lbs! Being new at this, you tend to overload and before you know it gets heavy fast by wanting to take this and that along. Maybe he wanted to relive his old marine days but you have to admire such an arduous effort to carry...

Nice day report. A:You show those kids who's bossiest beast around. B:You should have traded your directions for more snacks. A:Well, it was more of an entertaining-informative issue than being bossy to the ''children''. The basic guideline that applies when you go to an unfamiliar territory ...

Hey Jim, can I help your reviews by eating whatever you cook? We have a prejudiced tasting reviewer here! Get off the tasting line! According to the culinary judging experts of all time-le French, you should not eat everything in sight, you need to restrain your pig-out hunger and develop a refined...

Re: Feeler: SGMDF Official Adventure Race!

Its fun idea that could have some potential for being established as a regular thing to partake when one gets tired of the normal treks through the Gabes. The main thing is not to make it an elite course where only a few people(like ones with military background) finish and the rest fall by the ways...

The last D.U.I. of the year

This unusual warm weather motivated me to hike the last trip of the year on the Demanding and Unforgiving Iron mt. Boy Scouts= only use it if there is survivalist ...

Obie, thanks for the visual of the history, the adventures and the great human accomplishments on those mountains! The Rainier climb without a rope and having to hold on on a moving holds is something else! Way too many magic places and so little time to see some of them....... thanks again 666

Baldy via the Ski Hut

With this kind of warm weather, a wasting wed, I had to go there again to enjoy a nice day on Baldy. Started late, 10:45, with a sluggish propel to the ski hut after bit of drinking on wed the body did not want to stay on the rabbit mode! Huffy-puffy showed up again and I kept thinking I should only...

East Fork River To Allison Gulch

This is the best time of the year to visit the river: cool weather,no bugs, easy crossings, not too many people, lite on the trash, less water use. Time will run out when a big snow storm arrives and the river rocks and rolls. Then we will patiently wait for the summer time to go back again......666

Re: H.J. plz rate this stove

The thing that intrigues me is how you control the heat-without a dial button- so you won't burn the food and not make the stove fill the surrounding area with smoke? How do you achieve constant optimum temp for what you cook at the moment? The one thing I know is the food tastes better on wooden he...

I spotted them as I was exiting the forest going west near the Red Box area. I only managed to take pic the 2 of the 3, too slow of a cam.
I have seen the Porsche, GM caravans on the ACH, must be a test drive route, the cobras were out for a fun drive on the crest!

Re: A Gate For Cobb Estate

The sooner this area gets locked down at night the better for the forest and the neighborhood. During the day civil crowds park quietly and enter the forest to enjoy themselves. At night a very disruptive, youngish, irresponsible crowd shows up and enters the forest for the sole purpose of conductin...
