I was cleaning out my hiking stuff in my garage today when I found this guy. I think it's a gopher snake. I don't think we picked him up on our hike the other day.

That's a great hike. It's only a mile and a half from the Vivian Creek parking lot to the Momyer trailhead. We've finished off several hikes with that walk down the road past the friendly residents of Forest Falls. It's not bad at all. Especially in the downhill direction!

The slide was easily passable. The snake in the tree provided a humorous moment. I was leaning on the tree and stepped away for a minute.
