I had spider webs hanging from my face, berries down my ass, scratches all over my arms, it was awesome in retrospect. A little bushwhacking is always fun, in retrospect. :D I had a similar experience going to Lookout Mountain in December. I came from Cow Canyon Saddle and took the ridge toward bum...

I saw three Chukars today in the San Bernardino Mountains. There is a scree slope on the west side of the drainage at about 6200'. You slog up that scree slope to a saddle then follow the ridge west to the peak.

Thats definitely San Gorgonio. Big Bear Lake is barley visible under the wing, but you can see Baldwin Lake to the east

Nice trip report. I did a loop in the area on Sunday and there were definitely a lot of downed trees below Islip.

I believe From East Fork to Vincent Gap is 14.5 miles. Crystal Lake to East fork cross country, be prepared to loose a lot of flesh! You could hitch-hike..........

Obviously you're not a golfer. I dont know the conditions, but I say go for it! There will probably be a little snow from the Big Horn/ Cucamunga saddle to the peak. We might get some snow from this coming storm, but it shouldn't last too long. Just go for it but be ready to turn back if you see a b...

We glissaded down part of it late June last year. It is steep near the top but looks like fun to climb up.
