If you go up to Mt. Mooney, check out the Stony Ridge Observatory and/or Devil's Peak (not sure if this is its official name). They are both south of Mt. Mooney. that's funny, I had always wanted to attempt Baldy via Big Horn Ridge and replied to the other post regarding most challenging hike before I saw this one. I'd be interested in giving it a shot, or going on a scouting trip.

What about Mount Baldy via Big Horn Ridge? However you access the ridge, it looks like it would be an epic. Plus the Triplet Rocks seems like quite a challenge, especially since it involved a minimum of class 3 rock climbing, from what I saw getting half way down the ridge it looked more like class 4.

Great photos, looks like a nice hike with perfect weather. We are off bright and early tomorrow for the San Gorgonio area 9 peak loop, I suspect there will be snow up there. What happened to all of Taco's hair?? The sake singed it off

Have you hiked Mount Lewis and Pinyon Ridge? These are on my list to do, trying to figure the best way to get them both with the SR2 closed between Vincent Gap and Islip Saddle. Hopefully I will not get shot by some trigger happy hunter.

I have heard of a good route up Snow Creek Gully. There is a trip being lead by www.outdoorsclub.org up the North Side of the mountain on 11/4. The leader also says he plas to lead anotehr trip up the trailless Snow Creek Gully after there is snow,

I have also found that the time stamp info gets dumped sometimes, but not exactly sure why or when it happens. I will experiment a little to try to pinpoint it. Some of my tracks do not have a timestamp due to this reason, but most do.

we are hiking from Moymer and coming down Vivian creek. It keeps the car shuttle easy. We are going to exclude San Gorgonio and include Dobb's, comming down the south-west ridge of Dobbs and hooking up with the Vivan creek trail,

Weather was perfect except for the wind. Did not see much evidence of Gleason being a old Nuke storage site, they tore it all down.

Nice pictures and trip report. Looks like it was a fun hike, I have yet to see a bear in California, maybe ones of these days.
