i was up there today, actually. 2 is open from switzer to a few miles past charlton flats. i took some pics but i don't think they show much of consequence. if anyone wants to see, just hit me up and i'll upload em.

That "toad" is actually the Coast Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma blainvillii) It's nice to see them in the fire zone!

Got out to Timber via Icehouse today with my friend Tony. The ice at the top of Timber is pretty beautiful right now. Conditions were cold (low 30's) and light snow with a bit of wind. Rain showers below about 6000' or so. Lots of corn snow, hardly anyone on the trails, snow didn't affect trail real...

got up to muir and easter rock (weird name!) today via the fire road. conditions were great and ANF has some cool yellow signs all over the place now. saw like 4 people the whole time. got cold, it as in the 40's at the top. Came down in the dark. Made really really really good time for me, hit Echo...
