I run on this trail frequently. It would be okay for MTB, though there are acougarmagic wrote:thought it would be good for an easy bike ride.

That's what I did, but for me, "around the locked gate" entailed a slightly tricky straddle over
a fence with barbed wire. It wasn't too difficult, but not something you look forward to after
a 2000' ascent/descent. Or did I miss an opening in the fence somewhere?

Bailey Canyon question
On two occasions I've come down Bailey Canyon late enough to find the Baily Canyon Park gate locked. On both occasions I've had to use, uh, unconventional methods to exit the park. Is there an alternate exit that doesn't involve scaling fences or climbing back to Jones Peak? I searched the forum but...
