That's good feedback. So how much for your Dyneema version, Dave? I want one. I've thought about using the Snow Claw just not sure if it will add too much drag. I should try making a strap for it and just test it though. It's a fine line between durability and light weight. The Dyneema sounds awesome.

The Snow Claw: I have one of those. Like you said it's a great day hiking item to have in the pack. It's definitely no substitute for a real shovel though. It will work in emergencies but it takes a lot of work to move any significant amount of snow, and it doesn't handle icy snow well at all. Like ...

Actually Norma, I bet we had more fun today than all those couch potatoes... And at least we weren't the only other people out there. Oh well, let's hope that it cools down soon so that some snow can stick.
