Frank and I did Iron Mtn. today warm but not hot, snorted and ate nats on way up this morning, and saw two snakes on trail one a rattler...saw 12 people all day today on trail...

matt.. you can go up in trail runners now, no crampon no ice axe for doing the reg. trail..thers snow up there but nothing you can't handle..

Did a night hike last night, hit the trail at 9:15pm went up R/R to Hardwood summited there at 11:35,when I topped put from the trees at R/R and hit the bachbone trail I could here the wind going through that one tree stright ahead so I put my glove liners on and jacket, the wind at hardwood was ...

lets here for the solo people yea .....doing a saturday nite hike this weekend...next time bring compass and if you feel like it keep going...

Richard,Shin and I went up to baldy today via Bear Cyn..met frank at manker who took R/R and met us at West baldy..Nice to hang with you guys and had a good time at Baldy lodge for lunch...40deg. at summit at 11am

Since I cancelled MR for this weekend I took advantage of the Cesar Chavez holiday and hit the trail at 1:50am this morning took R/R up, soft snow,postholed couple of times to my thigh mostly the postholeing was at the calf. One time i must have hit a hole between two rocks went up to my waist ...
