In the winter, as the snow gets deeper, the trail gets harder to follow down lower on the mountain necessitating the straight up ascent further down. This site is pretty cool. It has a lot of good ideas for exercise programs and training exercises for mountain athletes. Though, I think some of the sets consist of too many reps. Thanks so much for sharing such a cool adventure! The pics are spectacular. Such a change from I was on BP on 1/22 when the snow had undergone quite a bit of freeze/thaw so we got slush in the sun and ice in the shade.
