I wonder why no one is making a big deal or investigating the fact that the fire crew from that station where the fire started, had burn permits for for controlled burns that day at that location.
Next to the blatant incompetence, I smell a cover up.

i believe it was used by cal fish and game when they were using the lakes for breeding stock lakes for the golden trout like a field lab, sleeping cabin.

if anyone is going to be up there next week feel to pick up water cache across the parking lot on the pct 100 yds up trail. the last of the thru hikers going south bound left it for are done.

Wow thats a terribly tragic story. I think the rock thrower bears more responsibility then feeling bad. At the very least, financial arrangements for the wife and daughter. that's correct, the license required is a technician license, but its very easy to get . all the questions come, in the book from www.arrl.com as they appear on the test, its just a pool of questions. the neat thing is how really small and light this radio is.
