Hey all i was wondering if any one could provide any info on bivy's.
I want to know whats good for winter. Im gonna go look at some this weekend. But i dont know much about em, except they are better to haul then a tent!

I want to know more about reducing the load and going farther with less effort. I have already seperated my must haves from unnecessary gear. My focus is now more on food, the right pack & clothing. For all seasons. For a day hike long or short. Or for backpacking how have you improvised?

mon- Cardio strengh training 8 miler using 20lb weight vest.
tue- maybe 15-20 min jog
wed - pace training same route as mon but jogging and no weights
thurs - same as tues
fri - active rest day - carbo load/heavy water intake
Sat - THE BIG HIKE
Sun - sleep in and pig out that evening!
