my buddy just emailed me and said that the mt lowe fire road ion FIRE!!
is the old taver ncampsite up there scorched too?
I remember seeing a cabin near a connecting trail rom dawn mine to that road....i hope hats not history!

why does the news just show the fire in the same area only.. we wanna see the whole forest and firezone! i dont wanna see any more burn charts or plots on topos........

With all those acres burned. We dont even want to think of the wildlife that was lost. But for the creatures that made it out.... Are there gonna be more bears, cougars & deer in the residental areas below the foothills? Im suprised only one bear in a basement story popped up. I did see a small ...

how did the fire get so uot of control. I have seen better fire combat for the other fires in the past year. when it was just a small blaze east of lukens. They should have had it out in a day

HeY all. I was wondering if any one has any knowledge of a path. I read one trip report that was from the 70's but it only had 2 photos and 2 sentences. Basically the dude went from the the camp @ devils canyon to the twin peaks saddle and up and back. I did devils like 3 years ago and dont remember...

With the air being crap. And the forest on lock down. I was not gonna let it ruin my hiking. So ventured up north on the 5 about 20 mins past Six Flags. To Frazier park. Bagged Pinos - Sawmill - Grouse - Cerro Noroeste/abel Saw few deer......But more quails than Tacodelrio has taxidermed to his wall...

i noticed there is a fire road up there above the 134. I seen a foot path going up starting on the Holly st exit off the 2 by in-n-out. Can you hike this from that there to the other end of the range where Figeruoa ends at the park?
