That eroded trail above the water tower (just) follows the ridge route. The fun stuff is following the creek trail up the gulch. http://www.lagoldmines.com/index.php?page=916662.txt

Gorgeous shots of the lizard and snake!

the outdoor eating area that usually has a big grill going, inside they've got a model train running around the top of the dining room. That's the one. Glad to hear they're operational again. I have some fond memories from my parents taking me there as a kid. Lately though the burgers hadn't really...

Nice, too bad on the pics. Yeah, I'll probably end up making another trip at some point. That slot canyon is dying to be shot right. Educate this fool. Haha. I'm a caver. But I'll do the best I can... Maybe the more experienced members can toss in some corrections. SRT is an interesting beast. Ther...

Hahaha! Nice report. Your antics kept me totally amused. Those clouds in the video were movin'!

A great burger in Idyllwild? Where?? That place on the island in the center of town open back up yet? I couldn't believe they were closing when I was up there mid-summer.

20110305 Allison Gulch

Dominik and I canyoneered Allison Gulch on Saturday with two of his friends from Vegas. We had a blast, explored the mine, and returned safe. No pictures - I decided to leave my SLR at home at the last minute. Dominik was bringing his anyway. Unfortunately Dominik had the same idea and knew I'd be b...

To *his* right? Past the bees/wasps whatever those are? I was rigged up to that crack for a while getting some of this footage. Stoney Point is such a blast.

I was playing around with the camera at Stoney Point and found an insane gentlemen named Owen, who was kind enough to let me film him. Here's my 30 second short... who's going next?

At least I didn't have to unwind the rope. :D

Well, it's not even close to the milage you're looking for (more like 6?), there's a canyoneering route that's 9. BUT Tar Creek always amazes me. I've been meaning to go back myself now that there should be some water. I did it as an in-and-back in an afternoon with the girlfriend. Views are great b...

Nice picts! Any idea why the trail was closed?

That blaze didn't seem very forceful about it. "Excuse me if you please sir, the trail is currently unavailable for the reason of making you curious."

Musta been cold! Toughest hike in the San Gabriels. At mile 29 I passed out on a cliff but woke up in time to self arrested in some poison oak. The dog froze and we were forced to eat her remains while huddled inside the bodies of other hikers for warmth.... Oh you mean the canyoneers? Pictures of ...

It's just too good not to share again Hahaha! Never caught that spoof. I saw Sanctum opening night with a bunch of friends. We all agreed it was a little hokey. The review I thought nailed it best was, "3-dimensional cave, 2-dimensional characters." Unfortunately our theater wasn't 3d so ...

20110206 Eaton Canyon Falls

Walked the dog and girlfriend up to Eaton Canyon Falls. It was crowded, I don't think I ever was out of view of another hiker. Lots of dogs, lots of tourists, only saw two pieces of graffiti. Tromping though the water felt great! I ran into Dominik and CougarMagic rappelling down the falls. They loo...

20101109 Crystal Cave, Sequoia

I threw this together and forgot to post it here! 38 volunteers, 9 days, 1000+ pounds of concrete, tons of rubble, and loving on a cave.

Enjoy!

Oh, and who slapped that Eis Piraten sticker on the old sign post up near the Bridge to Nowhere?
