Re: Angeles Crest Highway (CA-2)

I ran up to the Idlehour station to see the first runners go by around 9-10 PM. Last year the station peeps sighted a bear about 20 yards away next to the campground. The funniest thing happened about 9:30 PM. A few kids hiked almost to Mt. Wilson, and turned around. They weren't sure about the rou...

Dang Taco - that's some harrowing shit !! Forgive if I'm way off, but your report seems relatively calm compared to those pictures you posted. I know you're a million times tougher than I never will be but you also seem a lot more, let's say, less dramatic too... Sure there wasn't more you could hav...

Tim, Thanks for nailing it shut. Now we have to wonder again if drugs played a role. Theres simply no way he or she logically thought this was feasible....being that from their viewpoint it was obvious to anyone they were on a path of death. Yes,,,, thanks Tim for sorting that out... Aside from wak...

Re: calling cougarmagic - got any 'wild' guesses ???

Yeah, there really is no reason for that. As if a major media outlet, in Los Angeles (entertainment capitol of the world) couldn't figure out any way to show the original video file other than to point an iphone camera at a computer screen and record it that way?? It's more interesting when it's bl...

Re: Lost Hiker-Los Padres Tar Creek

Drugs and the forest don't mix. A really bad trip. Can't argue with that one - especially when it comes to alcohol. Luckily when we were younger and dumber, our 'parties' escaped relatively unharmed. As much as I dread rattlesnakes - what inspired us to chase one around our Chilao Flats campground ...

'Hikers' like this is why that stretch could be renamed 'Eat It Canyon'... So where she fell ---- is that on the north side of the 'razorback' ? I guess even if you COULD post this video at the base of the 'razorback' many 'hikers' would say "seeee, she didn't die, she's OK, what's the problem ...

Yeah - and from what some buddies have told me - those pesky rattlers don't always scram when they supposedly 'feel our vibes' heading their way. What's up with that ? Maybe they're just tired of too many people on their turf and it's their way of weeding out some of us weak heart hikers  :win...

Cool TR, Sean... well, cool probably isn't the best description.... The photo that tripped me out pretty good was this one. I take it this neighborhood ??? scoffs a bit when they hear all this 'Don't waste water on your lawn' talk... https://eispiraten.com/images-archived/photobucket/i1183/albums/x4...
