Re: BALDY - Archive of Mt. Baldy-related Discussions

Is there anyone on this board that might be able to answer a question regarding a business that may have been located in the Mt Baldy area? Or a contact point for someone that might be able to at least try and answer a question or two? I've tried google searching already but coming up with nothing.....

No offense to all you folks that still actually hike - but this is my kinda 'trip report' :P - discussions of hash browns, lunch, dinner, showers, beds, fireplaces! The one thing I often hated after hiking was having to leave the mountains. Woulda loved to have a cabin to go to... Driving past all t...

Cool TR --- any idea what this is --- any chance of it being a succulent? I really like succulents but can't be for certain if it's a succulent. The leaves and the flowers seem to lean in that direction. Maybe an echeveria ??? https://eispiraten.com/images-archived/photobucket/i261/albums/ii57/VanLo...

Re: SG's Grand Canyon - Waterfall - March 2011?

Thanks very much for that link Cougarmagic! That really helped me sort a few questions regarding the the canyon and the waterfall. Good to hear that the Alpine Tavern area was spared in the fire. Hope I'm wrong but one of the Station fire maps seems to show much of the Grand Canyon as part of the bu...

SG's Grand Canyon - Waterfall - March 2011?

1. March of this year? Does anybody know how much of the Grand Canyon was burned in the Station fire - thought I heard it was hit pretty hard. 2. I always wanted to get down in the bottom of that canyon but never did. Anyone here been down there? If so, anything memorable/nice scenery ? tia... http:...

Pretty strange that he ended up at the Mt. Wilson parking lot.

Is this some odd way of 'sorta' returning to the scene of the crime?

? Regarding the 'Ice House Canyon' name ?

Recently it was brought up on this board that Ice House gets it's name because it's a canyon where blocks of ice we stored [or something along those lines]. I'm not doubting this or anything like that but I was curious if anyone has seen any form of documentation of this information. I know it was a...

Speaking of mt. bikes & hiking trails
