Re: YES, I'm an idiot! - Baldy 12/19/10
Norma - nice to see your dedication. I was up there also on Sunday. My thoughts were exactly the same as yours. I figured with the rain that had come on Friday or Saturday, the slight drop in temps, it was possible there would be snow and ice to play in. Boy, were we wrong. I'll post some pics soon ...

Return to Scene of Accident 07/24/10 Late Report
IHC, 3T's, Harwood, Baldy, IHC Feeling about 40% healed from a full Achillies rupture at end of February, and also feeling antsy to get back out on the trail, I tested my leg a little on this first hike since the accident. My Achillies was stiff (as usual) for the first mile or so before loosening u...

Mountain Biking
Is anybody interested in some mountain biking this weekend? Either early Saturday or Sunday morning. I ruptured my Achillies tendon 3 months ago, and I'm still trying to strenghten my leg. So the mileadge will be kept under 20 miles, and the terrain will be flat to semi hilly dirt roads. I can ride ...

Re: Two Noobs Summit Baldy (2nd attempt) via The Bowl 3/13/10
Nice TR and nice photos. Conditions can be fun going up, when it's early and the snow is firm. Coming back down is always challenging when things soften up. Next time, from the summit, head east towards the smaller bowl and walk/glissade right into the ski hut. Saves a lot of time and is lots of fun.
