The Earth's Axis has tilted recently increasing the tilt an additional 26 degrees. This is pretty interesting. Shows some of the reasons why and the effects:

Well, since I'll be breaking in some new boots and crampons, hard to say what time. But I would guess we will be on top about 10:30-11:00am.
Hope that helps. Will call you Friday evening.

I'm up for it. We could have a tea and biscuit party on the summit, or we can fly my two new stunt kites. I just want to get on the snow again. I want to try my new Jet Boil system on the summit. See how it works in colder weather. I think Lilbitmor is also up for the summit on Saturday. He js...

Nice TR. I really like the pics.
In your second pic, theres like 7 guys that look like they're getting ready to climb. Were they with you?
OK - so where can one get the organic chews? And where can we all get a russian shot glass?

I don't know much about canyoneering - YET!!!! But that was a pretty nice TR. I've always thought about canyoneering, and wanted to do it, but I thought you had to go to places like Utah for canyoneering. I'm glad to see there are places local for it to be done.

I spent one of my days off going through my winter gear to make sure I got what I need to start winter hiking/mountaineering again. I ran across a few items I have never or seldom used and there is no need for me to hang on to them. Charlet Moser "Super 12 Rapid Fix" Crampons Never Used $4...

Skip, I'm not into propecting at all, but I've been hiking in the San Gabriel area for more than 20 years. And all though I've seen a lot of misuse by the prospectors (trash, sloppy messy camp sites, etc) I have seen these same guys clean everything up quite a bit in the recent years. there still ar...

Tose are som awesome shots. to see an animal like that, in such a public, well travelled area, is absolutely awesome. You took some nice pics there. I've seen some before in East Fork San Gabriel and Lytle Creek areas, but never any in Baldy area.

Forgot to mention (FWIW) - Haven't seen an add in over a year... I use Firefox browser with the NoScript add-on and, voilà, no advertisements. I think the ad only comes after you post a message. Here's the ad that was under your message: https://eispiraten.com/images-archived/photobucket/i498/album...
