Re: Wedberg Group Hike Friday, February 6
If I can get the day off, would love to make it. Hopefully I'll see you all there and meet some new people. With work laying off people due to this recession we're in, playing hookie might not be a good idea. But, I'll give it a go.

I never really checked time against mileadge, but I'm thinking 11.25 miles in 3 hrs is pretty darn good. I think most people walk about 3 mph average.
Nice job.

Is he wearing an oxygen mask? Or rebreather?
Gotta be an oxygen mask.
Did they move Casaval Ridge up to 19,000'?
Cool pic though.
Zach, Alex - that'll be us in one month. WooHoo!!!

For me, the fun is feeling the wonderful pain of hiking uphill! It's also the joy of being outdoors...and it's also the cold beer I'll have after a long hike! :D Liz - today, Lilbitmo, Zach, Taco and myself did a little reconnaissance of a portion of our "death march" and the half of the ...

If the stream crossings are all about wading and getting totally wet, I think the group is going to veer off and head up to Bonita Peak and either drop down into Cold Water Canyon or cross country to Iron Mountain. I think that let's me out. You guys have a good time and say a little prayer for my ...

The hike from Wrightwood to Iron will be trying but very attainable, it's that wicked climb down to the river and back up to South Hawkins that may kill the lot of us? From there to the Vincent Gap shouldn't be to bad either, it's that drop and regain that will do the trick.   :s...

There should be a hike where you meet various wizards and shit along the way, and they issue you challenges on your QUEST. You can always just walk past them or shoot them, but that's kinda cheating. Why would we have to sh*t along the way? Would this be sorta like marking our territory? BWHAHAHAHA...
