Glamisking - beautiful pictures. Did you guys summit? I bet this weekend, the bowl would be in good conditions for a ski or snowboard decent.

Re: 02-07-09 Camaraderie on Old Greyback (a narrative)

Yeah totally. And if the conditions are pretty good, I think we could do it in a day. Get there early, hike in by headlamp. Summit the col and head back down. It would be pretty epic, but not too bad I think. Yes, it would be epic if we went in on same trail, summited and returned same day. It's li...

02-07-09 Camaraderie on Old Greyback (a narrative)

Yoskolo (Alex), Zach (Zach), and myself (David) had been tossing around the idea of attacking one of our local peaks during rigorous conditions, to test both our physical and mental fortitude. After tossing around several ideas, peaks, and routes, we finally decided late this past Wednesday on San G...

Guess I'm not going. Blown brakes, need to rebuild calipers this weekend if it stops raining. Note to anyone reading: If buying a Nissan and you plan to drive it hard, all the time, get the best brakes you can. (IE Brembo's with the Z33 Track model) How about "not buying a Nissan". ...

Lets do the collective snow dance! It's time to ski the bowl.... I'd be up for that. Except I'll have my snowboard. If you don't mind others tagging along, keep me posted. Going up tomorrow evening (Friday) and coming down Sat. Not sure how far we will go up the ski hut trail. It all depends on how...

013109 TR FORUM MEET-UP --> East Fork S.G. to Bridge

On Saturday, Lilbitmo, Taco, Zach, Yoskolo and myself did a little hike on East Fork to the Bridge to Nowhere to do a little recon for Lilbitmo's "Death March" hike. We were basically looking for easy descent routes from Iron Mountain to the river and back up west side to gain either Ratte...

I like La Sportiva. Sizes run true to size. You would need to go to a specialty shop, like REI or A16 and get your foot measured properly. I'm a 10.5, but in European size, this is 43.5 or 44. I bought the 44 and they were perfect. I have the La Sportiva Karakoram. Not made anymore. I love them. But...

Yes you have more description to this buttress, or yes it's the one I was asking about?

If it's the one I was asking about, you can't go unless I go.

Besides, I still have the beta when I was there 20 years ago. I think. Maybe. Kinda blurry, but sort of remember. :P

Say uh, do you have more description where this shiny buttress may be?

I would, uh, be interested depending what day, er days.

And, uh, is it by any chance the peaks I was trying to describe to you previously? The one you can see from Hwy 39, as you approach the ORV area?
