Hey Bill - man, I wish I could get the time off and go with you. I was up in your neck of the woods Saturday morning with Taco. We were looking to climb the north face of Baden-Powell, but conditions were terrible.

Temps this weekend are supposed to drop back down to the mid 60's coastal areas. Should be very nice up top. I think you would very much enjoy the DBB this weekend. Maybe I'll see you up there.KathyW wrote: Thank you so much!!!! I think we'll go up via the Devil's Backbone on Saturday.

Yeap. A king snake. I used to see kings all the time out in the San Gab's, but haven't seen one in about 12 years.

I agree. Heat wave - go away. Ze, I got a pair of brand new crampons for you if you keep the heat away and snow here.TacoDelRio wrote:It was hot. I was on Baldy today.
Go buy crampons. it's cheaper for you to buy $100 'pons than it is for me to move to a free state like Idaho.

Nice job Liz. Glad you enjoyed that hike. The last couple (3) miles is pretty tough. I remember doing that hike when I was about 12 years old.
