Re: Baldy Bowl and Ski Hut Trail

Not quite Cucamonga, but... I did Falling Rock Canyon to Ontario then Bighorn and down Icehouse Canyon last Sunday. We chose this route to stay on the north side and enjoy the bit of snow we had. There looked to be nice coverage on Cuc's north slope and the deepest snow we had all day was on Bighorn...

since Ginkgo increases blood flow i wouldn't be surprised that it could help in keeping extemities warmer in cold temps or at altitude. i do know that because of the increased risk of bleeding, if you are going to have elective surgery you will be advised to discontinue Ginkgo one week prior to surg...

Re: Fall Color Aspen Grove Hike

We actually get a lot of compliments on that little outfit of Joyce's. My wife likes to dress up our little girl. Daddy has no objection. :) I'm not sure if you were seriously asking, but I could look at the label and see where it's from if you were interested. I don't think it's Dylan's style thou...

Kindness breeds kindness. Being rude takes but a split second; the negative impact from that behavior can last forever. I know who i'd rather be on a deserted island with. I was in the Sierra(s) this weekend Greg and it was bee-u-tee-full... any way you want to spell it! :D Thanks for postin...

Pestilential Canyon sounds good. Many thanks to my sister for the help in choosing an appropriate name. 8) whatever you call it, it's fun to hear a word i don't use very often. gotta keep that in my retrievable vocab. bushwhacking sucks, especially when you have to do it on the ground, pushing and ...

What a Girl Want's... Split, Williamson and Tyndall

I recently had a week off and headed to The Sierra for two backpack trips. First with Dave G, we trudged up Red Creek Canyon in the blazing heat pounding the Owens Valley on July 2nd to arrive at the pristine shore of Little Red Lake. Heaven on earth! With our objective in view above the lake we enj...
