This video is over towards Thunder Mountain, but all the ridges looked the same, wind blown snow. Also there were some very large ice chunks blowing off the trees.

I hardly ever see deer in the San Gabriels. This one was near Ontario Peak/Falling Rock Canyon at around 8,300 feet; on Sunday morning.

The Ranger Station is the one in the Village of Mt Baldy. You can pick up a permit there; I believe they open around 7. I read a book called "Night of the Grizzlies" a few years ago about two separate Grizzly Attacks on the same night in Glacier Park. It was as chilling and scary as anything I have ever read, including Stephen King. Apparently theses attacks changed how we think about Grizzly Bears. But.......
