Re: Misc. News (Archive)
I liked that video of the Stanley Miller High Trail. Does anyone know how to access that?

Re: the 'Guess the Photo' thread
http://i38.tinypic.com/2ith73t.jpg I didn't take this photo. Caption reads: P-51 'Mustang' fighter in flight. Inglewood, California, October 1942. Does anyone know the area this plane is flying over? What's that prominent ridge in the background? Other info: Reproduction from color slide. Photo by ...

I've always been curious how to get up out of the canyon near the bridge to nowhere. At what point did you start climbing the ridge? Is there a trail? Also, how did you get back down into Iron Fork? Trail? Bonzai? Thanks.

Question about a trail near the Bridge to Nowhere
I visited the Bridge to Nowhere yesterday. I think I saw a trail to the west of the bridge leading up a ridge to who-knows-where. This is approximately where I saw it: http://mapper.acme.com/?ll=34.28367,-11 ... Baldy%20CA Here's two photos where I highlighted the "trail": http://f.imageho...

Re: San Dimas Canyon
Hey, just thought I'd chime back in and say that when I returned to my car after exploring the area, I found a note on my windshield saying that there was no public access to the area and that my license plate number had been written down. Nothing overly aggressive, but still prohibiting. I'd love t...

San Dimas Canyon
So my brother and I just started driving yesterday and ended up in what turned out to be San Dimas Canyon. I know now that it is off limits for hiking, but at the time, it was just another dirt road in the mountains. Anyway, just wanted to share a little of what I saw there. There's two forks near t...

Re: Allison Mine Trail
Just thought I'd chime in with a few pics of the Gold Dollar Mine I took back in September this year. I ended up there after a failed trip across the San Antonio Ridge, and suffice it to say that it completely sucked coming down the "Secondary Escape Route" as described on Brennen's page: ...

Re: Man missing in Ice House Canyon/Mt. Baldy area Update: found
Hi, just thought I'd comment since I was in the area yesterday when he went missing. I first heard of the incident around 2 miles up the Icehouse Trail from a 20 something guy hiking down by himself. It was probably 1:30pm and he looked worried, but only asked me if I'd seen a guy in a red shirt, wh...
