I have no idea of those landmarks, but assuming they are all on the toll road?

so the bright-headed solution of y'all is to charge some teens $100k+ and essentially wiping out their future. Can't wait till they are out on the street committing real crimes trying to pay back that debt.

How stupid is you?

Nice, those reports are spot-on. I wasn't aware of the route from the saddle down to the Village that you marked in blue.... Is that the "Erv Bartel" canyon referred to on the Sierra Club site? Definitely would have gone that way to avoid the Cow Canyon bit and walking back down the road ...

I'm in decent shape and trying to burn off the holiday padding. ;) I work out 5-6 days a week at lunch...either the elliptical or step mill at the gym or the stairwell in the 12 story building that I work in. Stairclimber and walking on treadmill at steep inclines (15% or up if it goes higher) are ...

I went up once past the electric towers to the fireroad, and it was decently brushy. I think my motivation was there was an old trail here on the old historial topos.

Sure, but you're all right taking a paved road in your emission-spewing vehicle right up to the point where nature "starts", for you , eh? Well nature starts for me a little bit further down the road, so excuse me if I remove your car from the parking lot while your hiking. And blow up the...

Yes, Ty was with me and he had not been out lately and I was specifically trying to nab the last three peaks that would finish the list of peaks over 8,000, chances are that we could have done those as well, we finished earlier than expected - but the lunch in Wrightwood was so damn good we made th...

Re: month long food carry

An idea just came up...what about a baby stroller the kind with knobby wheel for jogging? Yeah its going to be tricky in some trail areas but they're light tough and able to hold enough food for a month long trip inside a bag or pouch or spare backpack. I'd love to experiment with this idea. Now if...
