Were you with the US Hiking group ?? I was there and dayhiked it on Saturday...the weather was perfect....

I have parked at Manker Flats for the past 5 years and have never had a pass...and never got a citation...I am not against getting a pass....but if there is no enforcement why should I pay???

I found something on the dirt road from the ski lift parking lot up to the Manker Flats dirt road today at about 3pm. The only hint you get is they come in pairs....and the one you have is now useless to you w/o the one I found. Identify it and you will get it back.

How much cash and how many gold nuggets were in the bag?? I can't believe I may have found the owner so quickly !!

If you left some gear behind on saturday at about the 8200 foot level.....identify it to me and you can get it back....otherwise thanks for the goodies.

No not a chess thing.....good try though. The A-6 Intruder can carry many payloads or long range fuel under its wings, land or TO on a carrier, and has now been overtaken by newer and faster planes. I would have flown them in the 70's but they abolished the draft right as I turned 18 and I was happy...

I got started at 6 am on the Bear Flats Trail. The temperature was perfect for shorts and a t-shirt. I saw two bear hunters dressed in all camo with bow and arrows by the highest water tank. I saw the fewest people on the trail today than I have all summer(8 ascents)
