There is an avalanche path from I believe Telegraph about half a mile before the saddle. I doubt there will be enough snow to cause it tough.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to get to the peak from Wellmans divide? I camped out up there last tuesday and ran out of time(or so we thought to make the summit before we had to get to the tram).

I left about 5 am this morning, and was only stopped to see if I had chains. Was quickly a nightmare even by 6 AM. Starting at the village was ice, so everyone pulled over(massive traffic) and put their chains on, then people without chains just kept spinning over and over and ruining everyone elses...

Going up this afternoon to see how bad the road is to manker. I'll find out if my rwd Volvo will make it with chains. If so I'm headin up early Sunday with snowshoes and just give it all I got.

I went up Baldy today and will be doing it again tomorrow. As of about 11 AM nobody had attempted to go past the Ski hut, and I did. Wasnt wet at all, I had no issues with it stickin to my crampons. Wasnt half bad hiking just tired of holing!

I went up icehouse yesterday moring around 5 am. Was nice and icy until past cedar glen trail split and I started holing up to my knees, then waist in bad spots. I promptly turned around, waiting till next week!

Roughly 1 inch at the start of the ski hut trail(from the road), and as I got further up about 2-4 inches in the good spots as of 2 PM Saturday. Looks like could be an overnight snow fest up there so it'll be interesting to head up there once more! AND! There wasnt even that many Koreans! And every ...

Ive got room(no heater/ac in my car tho haha, spent all my money on camping gear) in my car but I wasnt planning on heading out until around 9:30-10:00, wanted to pick up a friend and take her up as well.

How dfficult is the hike in? Ive got a jetboil I planned on bringing for some warm stuff.

Up for a 3rd joining? I'll bring sake!
