This segment of the PCT is in historic Crowder Canyon, this was the original "Cajon Pass" it seems to me but a toll road was built by John Brown in 1861

I believe the location is closer to Cedar Spring about mile marker 61.5 about 1/4 mile south of Eagles Roost Picnic

That route was a breeze after the 1993 fire

Not so much any more

The south facing areas areas are always warm to hot when the sun shines. Cloudy days are best for exploring in that neck o the woods IMO
