The meat of the coconut IMO is these people don't undwrstand the danger and don't have the experience tp properly evaluate the situation There are people who's opinion I respect who have been there. There are a couple small drainages off the toll road that are likely candidates... my guess is one below the Alta dena Crest trail(?) And above the landslide by thw bridge. You'd have to ask SAR just what they're calling "cascade cyn" though for a definitive answer

What was the TOD?
This spot is the energizer bunny, it's area that keeps giving and giving
Is there any interest by the SMMC biologist's. Seems like these cats are defying the usual behavior.

I've only hiked down to the camp once (4/26/2007). Been wanting to do the Devils Cyn thing for a while.
Chris Brennen has two TR's I'd like to combine "devils Cyn Loop" & "Lower Devils Cyn"
the shuttle at the end has always been a major hiccup...

Funding for this year's reforestation effort comes from Chevron, which recently contributed $1.5 million to the South Coast Air Quality Management District to mitigate carbon dioxide emissions resulting from an expansion of its El Segundo refinery. Now what could possibly be wrong with that?...

Re: Pot Farms in our mountains
Local authorities are not much interested in busting these until there is a big haul to boast about. Smaller grows are not of much interest to them you gotta be careful when venturing off trail (and on) where ever there is water. This is especially true since 100,000 acres burned in the Station Fire...
