I had every intention of it - got the gear in the car Friday night, clothes laid out, food packed, etc. But my inner underachiever snoozed right through the 4AM alarm .

Re: Baldy loop hike 3-21-08

The real way to do the hike is to descend from Baldy to the Notch and then do the 3Ts.
Would love to Baldy and the 3Ts. Let me know if you ever plan.

I'm good for a one-dayer on Sat if your plans allow and you don't mind me tagging along.

This Sat I'd gonna have one more go of the Bowl then perhaps down to Dawson/Pine then back up Baldy. Maybe I'll see you up there.

Baldy 3/22/08

Simonov, two of his buddies and I hiked the Bowl yesterday. Encountered ice two or three times before the hut. Still a decent amount of snow above the hut, but much less than last weekend. In the AM we saw several people not wearing crampons above the hut, but I wouldn't have gone up without them. B...

Hey Simonov, My lurking days are over :D . Very nice TR. Thanks for letting me tag along - it was one of my most enjoyable and memorable days in the mountains. I agree, the drive down to Baldy village was very sketchy...two cars in front of me slid out and ended up in the oncoming traffic lane. Woul...
