Re: Mt. Baldy, South Ridge

so RR is no longer Baldy's best kept secret? :( maybe we should plant some Poodle-dog bush near the TH. I say we start an even tougher route halfway between the HUT and RR, one that goes up that steep canyon before the switchbacks, one that only a few of us know about, one that is steeper...

Re: How to Push Past the Pain, as the Champions Do (NYTimes)

I read that article yesterday, and it sucks. Leave it to NY Times health bozo writers to put stuff that doesn't say shit, other than, hey you have to endure pain to improve performance. Where's the science? none. And other articles where they can't count calories = epic fail. That's what happens wh...

Took a walk down the South Fork trail from Islip Saddle. We wandered down toward the creek bottom in a relatively gentle canyon/avy chute. https://eispiraten.com/images-archived/photobucket/i484/albums/rr207/cougarmagic/soitchy.jpg I started itching the minute I opened this post, I'm stracthing now...

I dislike dissembling greatly. Unfortunately, the Forest Service seems far more committed to dissembling than fire fighting.HJ That's another form of firefighting - it's called putting out the "Media/Public" firestorm - Thank you CM for taking time out of your day to give us an inside vie...

Obie, great shots, that's some tough miles in a car and on the trail let alone on a bike.

How long does it take a roadie to climb the road from Big Pine to the Bancroft Lab? That's some 30 miles up hill or more?

Nice work on all of it. :D
