Re: Stove of the Week: Hank Roberts Mini Stove
I reckon they were the handiest for backpacking. I have two or three of them. They take up almost no space.
Retired them since I can't find cartridges for them anymore. There are folks doing retrofits, but it was easier to just get a new stove.

Funny thing, I don't even like camping. Backpacking, yes, but not car camping.
If I want an early start on Baldy or Icehouse, or I want to relax instead of driving home immediately after a hike, I stay at the Buckhorn. Good Bloody Marys there.

Man, I wouldn't know where to start to figure out how to make a shoe. They all come from Asia these days anyway.
But the other ideas sound intriguing. Still thinking about those.

Re: TR: MF Lytle Creek, Commanche, Kelly Camp, Bighorn, 2 Tee's
Also, major thanks to the rebuilders of the spring at Kelly Camp. It's flowing great, and when I saw the picture of the new pipe in a recent thread, I had no idea that it was actually a 1 1/2" PVC pipe - that sucker's huge! Excellent! Let's hope the PVC can handle freezing each winter like the...

I am in the small arms business, but have continued to look around for opportunities in other areas. For example, many of the manufacturing processes I use can als...

Where did you find your climbing partners?

Those are gorgeous photos, Jim. I was wondering what to do on Memorial Day, and thanks to your report I decided to spend at least one night at Dry Lake. We'll have the puppy with us, so probably won't be climbing to the summit.
