Re: Thee Gold Miner Named Matthew

There is no gold in Ybarra Canyon btw. But there are some massive huecos in some giant granite wall with some beehives and some birds nests!

Thee Gold Miner Named Matthew

Thought I'd make my own thread for all my gold prospecting adventures.

I have gone back to my canyon about 5 times this last week to try different areas and methods. Finally used the slucebox for the first time and boy is it tricky to setup correctly! I ended up losing a ton of gold because of the ...

Re: Gold Prospecting

Went back to the canyon today and ventured up river. Didn't find ANYTHING! Decided to go back to the open pits and found some gold. Brought my friend David with me today whos the whole reason why I got into gold panning.

Now I have a canyon (which is not east fork) where I can go back to and ...

Re: Eaton Fire area open now?

At this point, we all know that Sasquatch is the only one allowed into all closures and the government doesn't care. It's been exploring the bridge fire burn area since the bridge fire closure started and nobody has complained about that.

If sasquatch can do it, then certainly I can do it!

Don't stop sharing these since I'm now more devoted to the PL&P mission than ever before!

I feel like the excavation of devil's gulch rock for the dam might have been in preparation for the shoemaker highway moving towards Vincent gap. They may have been trying to make the cost of excavation ...

Imma say it here. San Gabriels have the best rock for climbing too. Our grand canyon is bigger. Also baldy is superior to Whitney in every way. Cogswell dam holds more water than hetch hechy but haters will say otherwise

Yes we wandered around. We didnt go on the private property just walked by it on the road where you can access the main trail.

Considering my crew did all of the work on the trail and we had to study the entire area to be allowed to do the work, I'm obviously very aware of pretty much exactly ...
