Re: Brown Mountain Loop

So it was named "Wella's peak" by an Openstreetmap user named m0dafinil back in 2016. On that account, this person only has 6 map edits and most of them look like the re-adding of this peak to the map. Also our friend stonehillnews commented and asked for the name origin and got no response. IMG ...

Re: Peak Jut 🤘

When I calculated the jut of Neight Thousand, I got a score of 12736. I think Neight Thousand is miscalculated on your scale cuz I see that peak jut-ing up everywhere, whether I'm in bear creek or Millard Canyon. The peak is so massive and so so distinguished from it's surroundings

Re: 21 days off, no plans

This is way too easy for OP, but I'd like to bike/hike - at a *very* slow rate - to the Santa Barbara County highpoint before it gets too hot. That's well inland but might be a good side trip.

So I looked at Big Pine Mountain on my map and it looks too far to get to. Imma post soon a pic of my ...

Re: 21 days off, no plans

Currently have this CalTopo map with 2 routes on it. Route 1 has some offroad stuff and highway 33, which I'm curious about checking out. Route 2 is strictly road and is pretty straight forward. Any comments or suggestions?

You all are invited! I think I'm gonna get a dynamo on the gravel (mountain) bike and maybe slightly knobier tires and I should be good. I wanna make the southern bit from slo to ventura a much more gravel centric trip and explore the Los padres more! If you guys join me up by the bay at least, we ...

21 days off, no plans

From June 1st to the 21st, I took time off of work to originally bikepack across Georgia and Armenia. Since the Iran war started, flights have gotten very expensive and the possible threat of the nextdoor neighbors of Iran maybe possibly joining the war to some degree might occur. For that reason, I ...

So I checked and she hadn't rsvp'd for any of the hikes but she does have a meetup account.

I see what you're trying to convey here but the search is at a point where the beanie was definitely either planted or blown there by the wind. I finally got there, thanks for all the hard work, that brush was much more thick then when I hiked the ridge 10 years ago. Only disappointment was finding that massive cement pipe on the rim of the flats, not sure why that was there.
