Re: Misaligned property lines
Dima, we gotta go all the way back there, post up in the bushes, and hack their wifi! They'll never see it coming!

Re: Alder Crag, the largest unknown crag of the Angeles
Not really. There’s just brushy sections and a creek crossing or two. I can’t really explain the brush around the creek but it’s super thick but easy to push through

Alder Crag, the largest unknown crag of the Angeles
Where do I even begin? Back in 2020, I got really into rock climbing and exploring the ANF during the pandemic while everything was closed. I scoured mountain project for crags and bouldering spots but something really intrigued me about climbing out here. Everyone always tells me that there's no go...

It's been over 4 years that you reported on this area. I have never been able to find proof of ownership of these ranches. Use this: https://app.regrid.com/us?utm_campaign=Homepage%20Refresh&utm_source=Regrid%20home&utm_medium=web%20page#p=/us/ca/los-angeles/south-antelope-valley/1453474&am...

Re: The Andrew Curtis Tungsten Mine
This area has always intrigued me . I have not been up there for 12 years. The under video camera surveillance sign off of cattle canyon trail has been there forever, before wifi. B.S. if one thinks a cable was run all the way up to Glendora ridge road for camera. What about the mysterious "pr...

Re: Some crag in the middle of nowhere on the side of Hawkins ridge
When you've been a rock climber for quite some time, you start to look away from the classic climbing spots like stoney point, horse flats, joshua tree and look far and wide for new rock to write your name on. Most people would say stuff like, "there's no climbing in la county thats why I stick...

Bivys and sleeping bag
Sup guys??? I went camping with the boys this past weekend and need some bivy sac recs. Preference is leaning towards fully waterproof and with poles.
Also, any ultralight sleeping pad recommendation? Something around the 30 degree mark

Thank you for all the feedback guys! That's fantastic! Thanks for exploring and writing the report. Mind sharing a track? So here is my track attached. Nice TR. Nice pics. As suspected, no shade. Trail looks restorable! Thanks for doing the beta/recon! There's always shade under bushes if you lay do...

Alder Crag Attempt #2
Originally, Mikey and I were going to rappel Chilao Creek to East Fork Alder Creek down to the crag but he bailed last minute due to bad poison oak. With a free day and still lots of stoke, I did a solo attempt taking a different way. Alder Creek Trail is an abandoned trail that starts at Upper Big ...

Re: The Search For Alder Crag
I've been talking with Troy Mayr on insta and he's been to the crag. His approach was from chilao creek starting at chilao and working his way down. He mentioned that he had to bypass a few waterfalls and rappel down at least 2 of them. Mikey and I are going to try this approach in 2 weeks if anyone...

The Search For Alder Crag
A little over 2 years ago, I took a drive along 2N17 to the turnout at the junction of Pacifico Campground to take some drone shots and look into Alder Creek. I noticed a gigantic crag at the junction of Alder Creek and Chilao Creek, creating a huge shadow on the canyon below. I was stunned by it's ...

Triplet Rocks via Bear Creek
It is one of my most ambitious goals of this year but I want to summit Triplet Rocks via Bear Creek. I haven't started to plan the trip or the route and I haven't even entered bear creek in person before so I do still have some homework. Who's down to go with me on this historic adventure into hell ...

Hello!!!!! I know all the history of these mines! I've even excavated 1 previously unknown one in Las Flores and another in Pine with the help of @1blazepatrick1 @dima @brotherbvideos and my buddy Eli. I'd love to hop on a call or meet in person to discuss the history since it's so vast. I'll send y...

Definitely a memorable hike for sure! Peak 2Nate66 was very pretty and we were all perfectly content with not continuing with that sketchy rope. Lots of class 3 scrambling everywhere with the occasional sagebrush climbing.

San Gabe Rescues 2024
I’m starting this thread so everyone can post rescues here for this year. I saw a post by @seblasd where they rescued 6 people off baldy on the bear canyon trail: https://www.instagram.com/p/C3We2asrmrX/?igsh=ZWMyNDBlOTQyNg== These guys are wearing hoodies and Nike backpacks for this trek which is j...
