The old route from Cow Canyon isn't bad but been there done that twice. I rather go back and start from Bear Canyon and continue where I left off. I'm free next week. I'm on vacation from work.

I believe the yellow fungus in the first photo is called Witches Butter. (Tremella species) I have posted some rare fungus similar to yours a while back ( mushrooms-mushrooms-mushrooms-t7492.html#p56045 ) and I have seen those red ones only here in Altadena. The ones you posted are really beautiful ...

Josephine Peak is always a cool peak to summit. There are a couple of ways to get there but you did the most interesting one. I will have to try that route someday. BTW nice pics.

This was a pretty cool peak. Hopefully, I can finish the remaining four of the 7 summits of Big Bear.

In a way, it reminds me of the waterfall we rapeled down earlier this year with AW but after taking a closer look it is not.
