whoooohoooo!!! I got a whopping $6.00 from REI. I've received more in recent years and obviously did not purchase a lot last year.
Did anyone else receive less than me?

Re: MATILIJA FALLS IN OJAI
Thanks for the update and nice pics.
I've been wanting to go back especially after the fire and the rains to see if the pools still had a good amount of water.

This is how you do Sierra Pk!
Whoooohooooo! After attempting this peak two weeks ago and failing, I finally redeemed myself. I read a few trip reports on the various routes ranging between 12-17 miles. I found the shortest route accidentally from my first attempt but didn't realize it. For my second attempt, I invited Justin (w...
Re: Sasquatch
Nothing to do with Sasquatch but watch out boys! It's okay. A real Squatch is never fooled. Female-Sasquatch--109264.jpg As I took a closer look at this picture, It looks as if Sasquatch is displaying his manhood to get the female sasquatch's attention. Hmmmm..... I am surprised no one noticed or m...

Re: Sierra Peak attempt
That is the route that I took, you weren’t that far from the top, but you still had some steep sections and then once you reach Leonard Rd. you have to walk over to the communication towers. I didn’t have enough time to get there either. That sucks if I was really close but with all the overcast an...

I can't believe these A*******. I guess the register bandit is in Altadena now.
I love this trail and I was seriously thinking about doing this route this past weekend but you beat me to the punch.
Stupid jerks!!!
We should put a hidden camera on the summit.

Re: Sierra Peak attempt
Tekwin, someone suggested to start the hike where I did. It is on trip report mountain. After reading your report, I am wondering if you and I ended up hiking the same ridge even though we started at different locations? I couldn't tell from your blog pictures. Looking at mine do they look like you...

It wasn't until after I descended the firebreak that I seen an old car over the side. I didn't see it on the way up.
Not sure how long ago this fire was.
More views from the ridge Lots of pretty flowers.

Sierra Peak attempt
I read a trip report on Sierra Peak that was quoted as being approximately 6 miles r/t. Well that wasn't the case. I started from the suggested streets of Oak Ridge Drive and Canyon Crest Drive. You can also start the hike from Fresno Canyon Trailhead off of Green River Rd, but there is no street pa...

Re: WHITE FACE MOUNTAIN
There's another ridge that circles around to the right side of the dog park. I came down that once. It's dangerously exposed. Uncle Rico, I totally thought of you when I did this hike because this is your hood and I was wondering if you bagged this peak. Anyways, after we hiked down from the peak w...

WHITE FACE MOUNTAIN
A fun midweek hike with the girls. We hiked to White Face Mountain in Simi Valley. A cool ass rock scramble to a really cool ass ridge. The trail is only 1.8 miles to the summit but it is quite the workout! The views were gorgeous! Heres a panoramic view of White Face Mountain. We started at the fa...
