Re: Lower San Antonio Watershed Loop

I think I will use your route up the ridgeline to get to Browns Flat from the Communication towers. Don't know why I didn't think of this route before, Thanks for the tip and trip report!

Re: Video – Browns Flat. Anyone make this trip recently?

Browns Flat is one of the hardest places to reach which is what makes it a great destination. I have been there about 5 times. From the Cow canyon saddle I mtn Bike to the radio towers. From there you have to look for an old jeep trail that leads down into the flat. There is no marked beginning to t...

Re: warning: probable active grow site

The DEA will do nothing, as will the Forest service. If you want the site cleaned up or removed you will have to do it yourself. Don't let that criminal invader intimidate you in your own backyard/mountains. I am currently cleaning up a site around the lookout mtn area above the Baldy village. You s...

Re: Video Tour of Pine Flat – Just Below Iron Mountain Summit

Very cool vid of Pine Flat, yet another place I will need to visit. If you like Pine and sheep Flat, you would also like Browns Flat in the San Dimas experimental forest. Not easy to reach but worth the effort...as all the best places are. John Robinson wrote of Browns Flat in his book the San Gabri...

Hopefully the Mtn home flats grow has been cleaned up a little. It sucks...

Re: Do you have a secret peak or place in the wilderness?

Browns Flat, a difficult place to reach but worth the effort as all the best places are. John Robinson mentioned it in his book The San Gabriels..so I had to get there. It is in the San Dimas Experimental forest, you will only find animal sign there..bear scat, lion tracks etc. and the remains of an...
