Yes, there is a lot of poodle dog on the ridge. So bad in some places that contact is unavoidable. I recommend long pants and long shirt at least for that section.

One of the big problems with Eaton Canyon is that it is so close to the city, easy to drive up to it, and easy to get to the Razorback. There aren't dozens of rescues in any other single location in the forest AFAIK. Hard places to get like San Antonio Ridge don't attract the inexperienced thrill se...

I think we were aware of the storm, but the wind was blowing against it and it never really moved closer to us. Strange that in the middle of a drought, it was raining in the desert.
