One of our group twisted a knee just below Trail Camp. We crawled of the mountain at 1 mph and got back well after dark and the portal store was closed. I'm trying to forget about the descent.

I've been searching for bighorns for a couple of years, and feel very lucky to have seen them this close. It was a rare moment of connection for me. I wish I had a nicer camera than my phone. Looking forward to my next trip in that area.

Yeah, I would definitely wait until the water returns in the spring. I thought since the last shuttle trip was June 29, there would still be some flow. The people that go next Saturday will get all of the crowd and none of the falls.

I started late, around 8:45, temps in the low 70s. By noon, mid-80s but it felt hotter for some reason. The ridge on return gave me more trouble than I expected.
