Their is a way to work around the growing problem. Before the growing, winds, and movement would be a problem as well. Build the structure bit away... a foot or two from the trunk. Zoom in on the map. When you look closely, it looks like the canyon itself is open. The closed area appears to be the mountainous areas that drop into the canyon, and the razorback is closed. How say you, or anyone else?
